The Day of Love

Valentine's day, a day where you celebrate love with not just your boyfriend or girlfriend but also friends, family, and loved ones. Now how did my valentines day go? well It was just like a normal day in school, since my Valentine is far away from me I just celebrated Valentines with my friends.

But before Valentines day, I planned to buy chocolate to give to my friends so its the least I can do this valentines. Some we're given flowers, some had stuffed toys, some had very expensive chocolates, but this doesn't matter to me because, love is not about giving expensive gifts, taking to a date, etc. but to me, love is just how you show that person how you love them and how you treat them.

That's how my valentines went, hope you had a better day than me. Well that's all for me to say hope you stay safe and Happy Valentines!!

Vigan Kannawidan

Kannawidan is a festival in the Province of Ilocos Sur commemorating the separation of the two Ilocos provinces in 1818. This festival is a showcase of indigenous performances, religious rituals, as well cooking demos featuring the best of Ilocano dishes. Activities for Kannawidan Ilocos include traditional games, cultural shows, drone light, and dancing fountain shows, fireworks display, comedy nights, entertainment, food fest, pet shows, and competitions.

Kannawidan is a variant of the Ilocano word "tawid" meaning heritage or inheritance. When I got to the Kannawidan Traid Fair, I saw a lot of old and antique furnitures likes chairs, tables, cabinets, and more. After that I went to the food sections where there was a lot of yummy food and some original cuisine of Ilocos Sur like Empanada, Bagnet, Longganisa, Pinakbet and more.

It was a great experience going and exploring Kannawidan and I hope I could go again next year so I can see more things about Ilocos Sur.

Bigueno ng Vigan

Vigan City Fiesta

The Vigan City Fiesta is held every January 25. It is celebrated during the feast day of the conversion of St. Paul the Apostle. St. Paul is Vigan City’s patron saint. Before his conversion, St. Paul was known as Saul, a zealous persecutor of Christians. After he was touched by a personal encounter with Jesus Christ on his way to Damascus, his name was changed to Paul and he endured a lot of hardships and danger to spread the word of God to far places.

Vigan’s main church, the Metropolitan Cathedral is dedicated to St. Paul and it stands at the core of the Archdiocese of Nueva Segovia. The major Catholic educational institution in Vigan that stands beside the church is also dedicated to the patron, the St. Paul College of Ilocos Sur. The Vigan City Fiesta usually lasts for several days. It includes within the period the celebration of the anniversary of the cityhood of Vigan, which is commemorated every January 27.

Biguenos from all over the country and even abroad return to Vigan, as it is the custom of Filipinos to return to their hometown to join their family and friends in the celebration of their fiesta. They are joined by thousands of visitors from other parts of the Philippines and other countries in enjoying the cultural shows, parades and street dancing prepared by the local government with the help of the local industries and communities. There are also food fairs, arts and crafts exhibits, as well as a visiting carnival.

Participants from the different neighboring provinces in the northern region are also sent to compete in the various games and activities, particularly the street dancing competition. This participation by other municipalities makes the Vigan City Fiesta not only a local event participated in by Vigan’s officials, but a national event participated in by other local public heads and national officials. Within the Vigan City Fiesta days, the Longganisa Festival is also celebrated. The city has a

longganisa-themed parade and at one time attempted to set a record for having the longest longganisa ever made. The festival has become a crowd-drawer as Vigan longganisa, a native version of Mexican salami, has a distinct garlicky taste that has become a favorite of the Filipino palate. Though other manufacturers have tried to copy the Vigan longganisa taste, they have not been successful. Biguenos attribute this to the fact that the making of Vigan longganisa is a centuries-old tradition of the local makers and all if not most of the ingredients used in making the native sausage is sourced from Vigan. Vigan’s garlic and sugarcane vinegar are said to be more strongly flavorful. It’s a great take-home gift after partaking in a Vigan City Fiesta.

Third, I want to change I lifestyle, I want to be healthy, be fit, all that good stuff that will change me. And lastly, I just want to enjoy this year, yeah there might be a time that I'll get stressed out a lot, but I overcome that last year so I know I can overcome it this year. well, that's all I want to happen this year, wish me luck and have a great year to all of us.

My Jingly Christmas

Christmas, an event that we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus. people eat food, play games, family bonding, well, my celebration was fun too. I celebrated Christmas with my aunt and cousins, it was fun, we played games, eat a lot of food and I mean a lot, which then gave me a stomachache. I also got a bunch of presents and one of them was shoes that I always wanted to buy. then after that we went to my Lola's house and we celebrated there, we even played games like charade, uno, and more then when we got home, we then eat again some food that we took home. well, I don't have much more to tell you, but I can say that this was one of my best Christmas of all. That's all, Merry Christmas to everyone.

Me In EstudyanTREPENEUR

My experience in EstudyanTREPENEUR was fun actually. I visited a bunch of parts of it, including the bracelet section. There we're a bunch of bracelets to choose from and of course I bought one for myself. I even tasted some food that we're given to me, it was delicious if I do say so myself, then there was this metal-thingy that if you touch it the machine will vibrate. then there we're so many foods around me which made me hungry, I may not explored the whole place but I'm sure that it was one of my happy memories I could keep.

My Last Lessons of 2nd Quarter

As the 2nd Quarter is ending, I have learned a bunch of stuff including in ICT. We learned about encoding HTML tags and making our own HTML sites through the use of the application notepads. I thought it was hard at first but as days went by I got the hang of it, some lessons are easy some are hard but I got through does like ease because I was so interested about the lesson.

I've started to pick up on certain elements that characterize the previous quarter when a new quarter begins and an old one comes to an end. With these insights into my work ethic and tendencies in the past, I realized how important it was to make the most of this important knowledge. This motivated me to set precise goals that covered a range of my academic classes. In particular, patterns in my work in social studies have forced me to alter my participation in school and develop features that I intend to carry out for the remainder of my time as a student. I've mostly considered my exam and quiz grades, in addition to my project and homework grades, while considering my work ethics. All of which had led to the formation of my goals for my 3rd Quarter as an tenth grader.

Change, it starts with me
